@Gary and Stuart - Thanks for the replies!

I am really fascinated with the use of datafeeds and I spent several hours the other day trying to get a 50mb .csv file imported into a MySQL database with no success. I've tried BigDump but even it was having problems. Anyway, don't want to get off topic.

Gary, have you considered installing the "Subscribe to Comments" plugin? I wish to stay in the loop.

With regards to search engine traffic, the rankings on larder fridge have definately risen since the changeover to datafeeds and traffic has gone up accordingly, still not huge amounts per day but it still isn't in the top 3 as yet, have to get around to adding a bit more content to it as it's a little sparse, plus the usual sprinkling of backlink building when time allows.

As Gary mentioned, i will be converting children's shoes over to datafeeds in the near future, even though it will be a bit of a job but it'll be interesting to see the effect it has, particularly on conversions.

Thanks for the feedback Josh. Stuart hasn't got round to doing the datafeeds on his childrens shoes site but I'm sure he will do this in the new year. Then we'll see if his sites make any difference in search engine ranking as well as traffic to his sites after he has changed to using datafeeds rather than ECU. I'm sure he will see a difference.

These sites are very inspiring! I noticed on the children's shoes site Stuart is using WordPress and EasyContentUnits but on the refrigerator site he has built a php site using the data feeds. Curious to know if search engine traffic to these sites is good/fair/poor and which site performs better in terms of search engine traffic!

Glad I found this site!

Thankyou guys for mentioning me on your blog, all of which is very flattering, not sure if my cheeks could get any pinker (never been the subject of a post before!).

It's been a pleasure speaking to you both, this site is after all what gave me the incentive to try out datafeeds and playing with MySQL in the first place, long may our chats (business discussions) continue!

Wishing you the best for the future.
